To ensure that every Ex-Serviceman (ESM) and their dependents in Tamil Nadu are aware of their entitlements, we have compiled the latest welfare scheme data for 2025-2026. Many of these grants have been updated to provide better financial security for our community.

Key Highlights of Current Benefits:​

  • Marriage Grants: * State Fund: ₹25,000 for up to two daughters of JCOs and below.
    • KSB Fund: ₹1,00,000 for up to two daughters (Upto Havildar equivalent).
  • Monthly Life Time Grants:
    • World War II Veterans: ₹15,000 per month; Widows receive ₹8,000 per month.
    • Penury Grant: ₹8,000 per month for non-pensioners above 65 years.
  • Educational Assistance (Annual):
    • Schooling: Ranges from ₹2,000 (1st–5th) to ₹6,000 (11th–12th).
    • Professional Degrees: ₹25,000 per year.
    • Elite Institutions: ₹50,000 per year for IIT, IIM, and National Law Schools.
  • Job Reservations & Priorities:
    • 5% in Group ‘C’ and 10% in Group ‘D’ state government posts.
    • 25% reservation for Lascars, Drivers, and Watchmen in the NCC.
    • Exemption of examination fees for recruitments through TNPSC.
  • Rest House Facilities: Access to Sainik Rest Houses across major districts including Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Trichy.
