Official Responsibilities​

Color Reception

  • Receives the prestigious flag directly from the President or presiding officer
  • Serves as the unit ensign, typically holding the rank of lieutenant in Army, sublieutenant in Navy, or flying officer in Air Force

Ceremonial Duties​

During the Ceremony
  • Accepts the Colour after the religious consecration ceremony
  • Receives the flag following the Sarva Dharma Prarthana (all-faith prayer)
