In one of its kind PAN Navy initiative, Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA & Mrs. Zarine Singh, President NWWA(WR) led the live distribution ceremony at Western Naval Command; Mrs. Sandhya Rao Pendharkar, President NWWA(ER) & Mrs. Vijaya Srinivas, President NWWA(SR) led at Eastern and Southern Naval Commands respectively.
This initiative of NWWA aligns with the Indian Navy's vision of “All Roles, All Ranks” for women, fostering inclusivity. Recognizing the importance of menstrual hygiene in challenging naval environments at sea, the kits include a menstrual cup, sterilizing container, electric sterilizer, and wash.
This move prioritizes the health and productivity of women, offering an eco-friendly solution amidst rigorous routines aboard warships, submarines, and aircraft. #NWWA champions empowerment through practical support, enhancing the well-being of women in service.
Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA also addressed the audience and stated that by breaking down barriers and openly addressing sensitive topics like menstrual hygiene, we will strengthen the fabric of our service, ensuring that every woman can reach her full potential.
