Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (EHS Section) ne 26 October 2026 ko ek important Office Memorandum (F. No. S.11030/54/2023-EHS) jari kiya hai. Yeh order dependent sons aur brothers jo critical ya terminal illness se peedit hain, unke CGHS card extension aur eligibility se juda hai.
Key Points aur Guidelines:
Age Limit Relaxation: CGHS/CS(MA) Rules ke tahat standard age limit cross hone ke baad bhi, critical ya terminal illness se grast dependent sons aur brothers ko CGHS beneficiary status extend kiya ja sakega.
Decentralised Process: In cases ko Dte. of CGHS ke decentralized STC mechanism ke tahat local level par hi process kiya jayega.
Medical Recommendation Procedure: CGHS me koi permanent standing Medical Board nahi hai, isliye concerned specialty ke kisi bhi Government Specialist ka prescription aur medical advice LTC ke examination ke liye valid recommendation mana jayega.
Approval Authority: Additional Director (AD), CGHS ke office me bani Local Technical Committee (LTC) is recommendation ko evaluate karegi aur card issue/extend karne ki approval degi.
Card Validity aur Renewal: Yeh CGHS card pehle 1 saal ke tenure ke liye banaya jayega. 1 saal ke baad renewal ke liye ongoing illness ke fresh treatment documents submit karne honge. Is provision ke eligible bimariyon ki list Annexure-A me di gayi hai.
Central Government employees aur pensioners ke liye yeh ek badi rahat hai jinki family me dependents gambhir bimariyon se jujh rahe hain.
