Mandatory Online Digital Smart Card Registration for Ex-Servicemen and Dependants in West Bengal

Government of West Bengal ke Rajya Sainik Board dwara ek bahut hi important official order issue kiya kae, jismein West Bengal ke sabhi Ex-Servicemen aur unke dependants ke liye Online Digital Smart Card registration mandatory (compulsory) kar diya gaya hai.

Yeh step Digital India vision ke under digital governance ko badhava dene aur welfare delivery mechanisms ko fast karne ke liye uthaya gaya hai.

Key Highlights of the Notification:

• Issued Authority: Rajya Sainik Board, West Bengal (Writers' Buildings, Kolkata).
• Notification Date: 19 May 2026.
• Target Audience: All Ex-Servicemen (ESM) aur unke dependants jo West Bengal state me reside kar rahe hain.
• Effective Date: Yeh registration 01 April 2026 se compulsorily mandatory kiya ja chuka hai.
• Official Portal: Registration ke liye aap official website https://rsb.wb.gov.in par visit kar sakte hain.

Main Objectives & Benefits of Digital Smart Card:

1. Centralized Database: Is system se West Bengal ke sabhi Ex-Servicemen aur unke dependants ka ek completely updated database maintain kiya jayega.
2. Efficient Scheme Delivery: Database update hone se Govt of India (Central Government) aur Govt of West Bengal ki sabhi welfare schemes aur financial benefits ka fayda beneficiaries tak bina kisi delay ke efficiently pahunchega.
3. Automated Tracking: Is online software platform ke zariye registration process ki real-time monitoring aur data compilation automatically hogi.

Role of Zilla Sainik Boards (ZSB):

Sabhi Zilla Sainik Boards ko strict instructions diye gaye hain ki wo:

• Is information ko Ex-Servicemen aur dependants ke beech widely disseminate (spread) karein.
• Applicants ko online registration process ke dauran har tarah ki necessary assistance aur help provide karein.
• Notice boards, Army Veteran Cells, WhatsApp groups, aur local ESM Associations ke through awareness programmes run karein.

Note: Yeh ek time-bound aur extremely important process hai. Rajya Sainik Board ne saaf kiya hai ki koi bhi eligible beneficiary un-registered nahi chhutna chahiye. Agar aapne abhi tak apply nahi kiya hai, toh nearest Zilla Sainik Board ya official portal par jakar apna registration jald se jald complete karein.
